Cookies

We use cookies and other similar technologies (such as web beacons) (“Cookies”) to enhance your experience using the website. “Cookies” are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. They are widely used in order to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to deliver a better and more personalized service. Allego and its marketing partners or suppliers may use Cookies when you interact with our website or use our online products. We use Cookies to track your visits to the website and what links you click on, as well as to track your page views, so that we can understand what content is of interest to you and present you with a better browsing experience. We also use Cookies to track and deduplicate information you provide when you submit a form to us, to test whether you have cookies enabled, and to remember you if you visited the website previously.

Cookies may be either “persistent” cookies or “session” cookies. A persistent cookie consists of a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be stored by the browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date (unless deleted by the user before the expiry date). A session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.

We use the following Cookies:

  • Strictly necessary Cookies. These are Cookies that are required for the operation of the website. They include, for example, Cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of the website.
  • Analytical/performance Cookies. They allow us to recognize and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around the website when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way the website works, for example, by ensuring that users are easily finding what they are looking for.
  • Functionality Cookies. These are used to recognize you when you return to the website. This enables us to personalize our content for you (such as to prefill forms that you have filled out on our website in the past).
  • Targeting Cookies. These Cookies record your visit to the website, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We use this information to help make our marketing activities more relevant for you. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose, consistent with the section titled “How we share your Personal Data” above.

If for any reason you wish to not take advantage of Cookies, you may disable Cookies by changing the settings on your browser.

Compliance with Applicable Privacy Laws

We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR“), the UK Data Protection Law, (“UKDPL”), and the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and other applicable privacy laws in jurisdictions where we operate. We will not discriminate against you based on the exercise of your privacy rights conferred by applicable laws or regulations. We will respond to your valid requests to delete, correct, transfer, provide information about, and otherwise manage your data.

Information Collected by or Submitted to an Allego Service by Users Authorized by Our Customers

As described above, we may also process Personal Data submitted by or for a customer or its authorized users to our cloud services. To this end, if not stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy or in a separate disclosure, we process such Personal Data in the role of Processor on behalf of a customer (and/or its affiliates) that is the responsible Controller of the Personal Data concerned. We are not responsible for and have no control over the privacy and data security practices of our customers, which may differ from those set forth in this Privacy Policy. If your Personal Data has been submitted to us by or on behalf of an Allego customer and you wish to exercise any rights you may have under applicable data protection laws, please inquire with the applicable Allego customer directly. Because we may only access a customer’s data upon instruction from that customer, if you wish to make your request directly to us, please provide to us the name of the Allego customer who submitted your data to us. We will refer your request to that customer, and will support them as needed in responding to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

Information Collected by or Submitted to an Allego Service by Individuals Invited by Users of Our Customers

In all circumstances where we receive information that includes personal data from individuals that are utilizing certain aspects of our cloud services at the invitation or direction of our customers or their authorized users, Allego processes such Personal Data in the role of Processor on behalf of our customer.  In cases where Allego is acting as Processor of your personal data under GDPR, and you wish to exercise any rights you may have under applicable data protection laws, please inquire with the applicable Allego customer directly. We will refer your request to that customer, and will support them as needed in responding to your request within a reasonable timeframe.

Security

We take precautions to protect your Personal Data. When you submit Personal Data via the website, your data is protected both online and offline. Wherever we collect Personal Data, that data is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way.

While we use encryption to protect Personal Data transmitted online, we also protect your Personal Data offline. Only employees who need access to the information to perform a specific job are granted access to Personal Data. The computers/servers in which we store Personal Data are kept in a secure environment.

While we follow generally accepted standards to protect Personal Data, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are solely responsible for protecting your password, limiting access to your devices and signing out of websites after your sessions.

How Long Do We Keep Your Personal Data?

We may retain your Personal Data for a period of time consistent with any legal purpose of collection that applies to your interaction with us. We determine the appropriate retention period for Personal Data on the basis of the amount, nature and sensitivity of your Personal Data processed, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure of your Personal Data and whether we can achieve the purposes of the processing through other means, as well as on the basis of applicable legal requirements (such as applicable statutes of limitation).  After expiration of the applicable retention periods, your Personal Data will be deleted. If there is any data that we are unable, for technical reasons, to delete entirely from our systems, we will put in place appropriate measures to prevent any further use of such data.
